You see Me and may sister are replaying all the zelda games we have. My sister is working on getting the all Gold Skulltulas. (I think there is 100). We are having problems getting the stupid bug into the soft dirt for the Gold Skulltulas to pop out. Any tips?

You just need to drop the bugs near the soft soil, and they will go in it. Nothing complicated about that.

Just drop a bottle of bugs near the patch of dirt. The Skullta should come out after all three go in…

After getting a Bottled Bug, go to a patch soft dirt and use your controller to drop the bugs onto it. If there is hiding a Gold Skulltula in it, it will magically pop out.

If there isn’t a Gold Skulltula in that specific patch of dirt, there might pop other stuff out like: Rupees, Bombs, Arrows, and rarely Pieces of hearts.

Make sure that you are standing in front of the patch of soft dirt for this to work.

This is exactly what you need to do:
1-capture the bugs from nature or shop in an empty bottle
2-release it directly above a soft soil spot and a skulltula will come out ( note this works in all ten soft soils except the one in zoras river next to magic beans salesman) I don’t think u need to be at night but if it dosen’t work try the making it night 1st.
3-when u release the bugs 3 will always come out recapture 1 of them, this way u’ll have infinite bugs. (the other released two bugs will do the job just fine)
    4-Locations:

    1) kokiri woods (right of red roof shop)
    2) Lost woods (left left)
    3) Lost woods not 100% sure of exact location but I think (right left right left left u will find 2 deku scrubs its behind the one to the right
    4) Graveyard towards the left
    5) Zora river near magic beans salesman
    6) on death mountain trail right next to the dodongo’s cavern entrance
    7) Lake Hylia right next to lakeside laboratory 8) gerudo valley jump with the chicken down to the river u will find a ledge with a cow, it’s right next to it
    9) inside death mountain crater near warp point
    10) next to the entrance to the desert temple

5-Don’t forget to plant a magic bean in every 1 of them (do it before u play the song of time)

    Finally beware
skulltula rewards are not all worth it
    10: 200 rupee wallet
    20: stone of agony
    30: 500 rupee wallet
    40: Bombuchu
    50: Piece of Heart
    100: 200 rupees

So I REALLY recommend u stop at 50 unless u plan on perfecting the game
